The first of a series of four black & white trade ads that ran in the Salt Lake City tabloid newspaper called THE ENTERPRISE in the spring of 1987. As an in-house independent consultant, Conrad proposed and created this print and radio campaign with Gerald Williams and Henri deBaritault of Williams-deBaritault Design Associates. Founded in 1971, THE ENTERPRISE, Utah’s Business Journal is still published today and is delivered once a week to it’s readership on Mondays. Shortly after Conrad and his family relocated from Los Angeles, CA to Salt Lake City, Conrad established a working relationship with Gerard, a designer/ad-man from England and his cohort Henri from Mauritius Island. Working together in their basement office located at the stately 331 Rio Grande building near Pioneer park, they created this campaign along with other marketing projects before Conrad opened his own office, BowenPlus Associates in downtown SLC.
Years later – a classic example of advertising art really being fine art – ready to adorn a wall in your home or office!
