This is a digital reproduction of the original artwork Conrad painted with acrylics in a watercolor style on illustration boardin the late 1970s.
At the time, his workroom/studio was located in the unfinished utility room in the basement of his parents home in Paradise. His work table consisted of a rickety old wooden drop-leaf table his great-grandpa Obray owned (which Conrad still has!) and a big sheet of quarter-inch masonite propped-up on an angle on the table with old Encyclopedia Britannicia’s on the far top end.
The location of the painting was a backyard alley that used to be up on the hill behind the old Logan Hospital north east of the Logan Temple. He painted it as a student of Harrison Groutage, Glen Edwards & Jon Anderson while attending Utah State University.
