This painting was proceeded by a 6” x 4” plein air B&W sketch In Conrad’s sketchbook (#1) & an 10” x 8” studio watercolor (#2) on 140 lb textured watercolor paper. The B&W sketch was drawn on location in August, 2018, while on an annual family camping trip to Tony Grove, Utah, the 10” x 8” watercolor was painted in his studio in January 2019 & this acrylic painting (#3) was also painted May-June 2019 in his studio. All 3 versions are available from this website.
