This is the third of four images that Conrad created of the Olsen Granary located near 9200 S 100 E, Paradise, Utah. This adventure started as a sketchbook drawing and watercolor painting on location in early August, 2019. As a result he’s generated four original pieces of art . They include the following:

A small watercolor painting (Olsen’s Granary #2)
An oil painting on canvas (this painting)
A larger watercolor painting (Olsen’s Granary #4)
In this rendition, Conrad explored the difference between painting the subject with oil pigments on canvas and watercolor pigments on textured watercolor paper. What do you think? Which do you like best? Conrad has experience painting with watercolors, acrylics and oils on various different surfaces. Each have their unique characteristics, benefits, advantages and disadvantages. As long as Conrad gets to draw and paint and choose his mediums and surfaces — he’s happy!
