This acrylic painting was proceeded by a 4” x 6” plein air B&W sketch In Conrad’s sketchbook and an 8” x 10” studio watercolor on 140 lb textured watercolor paper. The B&W sketch was drawn on location in August, 2018, while on an annual family camping trip to Tony Grove, Utah, the 8” x 10” watercolor was painted in his studio in January 2019 and this acrylic painting was painted December 2024 through January 2025 in his studio.
